CALENDARAUTO – create the time dimension automatically (DAX – Power Pivot, Power BI)

CALENDARAUTO simply generates the list of dates. These dates automatically cover all dates, that can be found in any table of data model – or, I mean, all the years with this dates.

• The CALENDAR function works similarly, but you have to define the first and last date manually.
• CALENDARAUTO can have an argument, integer 1-12, declaring, which month is the last mont of fiscal year – then the dates will be generated for these fiscal years.
