Remove the typing errors automatically (Query editor in Power BI)

This article describes how to remove typing errors in your data, using query editor.

I´m talking about situation, when some items appear in various versions.

For example here, there is a correct version “Chocolate” and wrong versions “chocolade” and “choclate”.

So how to do it?

At first you need a table with correct versions:

 

Then go to Merge queries. Select the keys (names of items on both sides) and check the “Fuzzy merging“. Confirm.

Then click on the doublesided arrow.

And thats all – now there are the correct versions in a new column.
